Foster 10
Sailing/rowing dinghy.Unstayed gunter rig.LOA 10' Beam 4'6". The Foster 10 was originally designed
and built by Bill Foster of Battery Point, Tasmania, a well known and
respected Tasmanian boatbuilder and thorough gentleman, as
a birthday present for one of his daughters, in 1986, and was intended
to be a one off.

| "Rowan" Foster 10 rowing
dinghy. Construction
is the same as
a sailing dinghy.This dinghy had swamp gum floor boards. Painted white
on the outside and dark green waterline. |
"Minna" left the shed in late July 2005. She did not take in a drop of water at her launch. As she is going to be carried on a trailer, travelling around Tasmania and the mainland of Australia in the future. She had covers and a stone guard made for protection. She is going to carry an outboard motor, complimentary to the sailing rig. Minna has bronze fittings which sing with the Huon Pine. Removable floorboards and she is a lot fuller in beam to previous Foster 10's |
